Danica Benbow Denny is a partner at the firm practicing in the Admiralty and Maritime, Insurance Coverage and Litigation, Mass Tort and Class Actions, and Construction Law sections. She has considerable experience in handling cases involving maritime personal injury defense, marine insurance and contractual risk allocation, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation claims, cargo claims, ship collisions, ship allisions, and other legal issues unique to the maritime industry.

Ms. Denny also maintains an active docket of excess casualty cases, where she acts as defense, coverage, or monitoring counsel - depending on her clients’ needs. Along with her local and regional litigation work, Ms. Denny provides effective representation to underwriters, brokers and claims adjusters in the U.S., London and Bermuda markets. She travels to conduct presentations and in-house training for these clients on various issues, including complex claims management, preparation and understanding of the purpose and use of depositions in American litigation, and hot topics in insurance coverage litigation.

Ms. Denny graduated from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, where she was a William L. Crowe Scholar and a member of Loyola Law Review. She is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal and is also admitted pro hac vice in various jurisdictions throughout the country.
